Piper J-3 "Hazel Sig" Cub N1455N

This livery for the Classic Aircraft Simulations Piper J-3 Cub is a replica of the Cub registered as N1455N which is based in the United States.

The story behind this livery goes back to 1969 when Hazel Sig (co-founder of SIG Mfg. Co.) rebuilt a standard 1941 Piper J-3 Cub for aerobatic flying. To increase performance, 40" was clipped off each wing and the engine reworked to produce 75 h.p. The framework was completely rebuilt and a dazzling sunburst paint job was applied with SIG Supercoat Dope. However, that is NOT this aircraft - but it was the inspiration behind the amazing refurbishment of N1455N, which has been overhauled to a very high standard - you can find out more about it here (youtube.com) and also on the Airtech Coatings Instagram account.

My livery features a painstakingly created exterior and interior paint scheme. In addition to this there are new floor, cockpit dials, propellor and exhaust textures, including updated composite maps (AO, roughness, metal) and normal maps.
