1. The service
Hangar Addons is a free platform for finding and sharing flight simulator addons, building and sharing flight plans, and discussing the hobby in the forums. As explained on our About page, the core site is free to use — no forced advertisements before downloading, no throttled download speeds, no paid tier.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You must provide an accurate email address and be old enough to consent to data processing under the law in your country (13 in most jurisdictions, 16 in some EU member states, unless a parent or guardian consents on your behalf).
3. Content you submit
You keep ownership of the addons, flight plans, forum posts, comments, and any other content you upload or write. By submitting it, you grant Hangar Addons a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it as part of operating the site.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights. Don't upload:
- Content you don't have the rights to distribute.
- Malware, or an addon that does anything other than what it claims to do.
- Anything illegal, harassing, or that violates someone else's privacy.
We may remove content, or suspend or terminate an account, that violates these terms.
4. Acceptable use
Be reasonable. Don't attempt to disrupt the site (scraping at abusive rates, attempting to bypass authentication, automated account creation), impersonate another person or organization, or use the forums to harass other members.
5. No warranty
Hangar Addons, and the addons and flight plans hosted on it, are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Addons are built and uploaded by community members, not by us — we don't test or guarantee the safety, quality, or compatibility of user-submitted content with your simulator or system. Download and install at your own judgment.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hangar Addons is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any content on it, including damage related to a downloaded addon.
7. Termination
You can stop using the site and request account deletion at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how we handle that. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
