CYHT Haines Junction Airport, Yukon, Canada

Haines Junction Airport (IATA: YHT, ICAO: CYHT) is located just outside Haines Junction, Yukon, Canada, and is operated by the Yukon government.

A local aerial sightseeing company, Rocking Star Adventures, operates from here and nearby Burwash Landing, offering stunning sightseeing tours over the spectacular ice fields of the Kluane National Park.

To see the animated Canadian flag you will need the Windy Things library. To see the animated Yukon flag you will need to extend the Windy Things library of flags by also adding my Flags of Canadian Provinces and Territories - assets for Windy Things library. The rest of this scenery uses custom models or stock assets, including some from World Updates. They should all stream in as needed.

Flying here

Haines Junction sits on the edge of the Kluane region, so a flight from here over the ice fields makes a good sightseeing trip in a light aircraft or a floatplane on wheels. It pairs naturally with the scenery at Burwash Landing, which is mentioned above. The airport is also part of the Backcountry Airstrips for MSFS 2024 collection, along with other strips that suit short, rough landings.
