The wait is finally almost over! iniBuilds has announced that its highly anticipated Airbus A380 will be released next week for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing the iconic superjumbo to the simulator.
The A380 has been one of the most anticipated aircraft projects in the MSFS community for years. iniBuilds originally announced its A380 project back in 2019, before later rebuilding the aircraft from the ground up specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
A380 in Full Detail
From the previews released so far, it looks like iniBuilds has gone all-in on recreating the enormous Airbus. The aircraft features a highly detailed exterior and a fully modeled interior spanning both passenger decks, including cabins, lavatories, showers and other details throughout the aircraft.
The cockpit and aircraft systems have also received considerable attention, with an extensive EFB, detailed avionics and systems, failure modeling and ECAM functionality all showcased during the recent official preview stream.
One particularly interesting feature is a skip-to-waypoint system, designed to make the extremely long flights typically associated with the A380 more accessible for simmers who don't necessarily have several hours available for every flight.
