MSFS Route Editor

This is a tool for waypoint editing and routing for moving SimObjects in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It is mainly focussed on the WorldScripts of MSFS2024 and the Custom Scripts for the MissionHub of Miltech Simulations. You can import, edit and export freely among these formats and also import KML and GPX files from Google Maps and for example LittleNavMap. The tooltips inside the application give essential information on most of the features and functions, but for more detailed information, have a look at the manual, accessible in the Settings menu of the software.

Installation is simple: unzip and copy the folder anywhere, but perhaps better NOT inside the MSFS 2024 Community folder.

The software features a "Follow Roads" functionality, but to get it work you will need a (free) API key from OpenRouteService (openrouteservice.org) and paste it into the Settings window.

Using it

The editor is for anything in the simulator that follows a route on its own, such as scripted vehicles, boats or aircraft in a mission. Draw or import the route, adjust the waypoints and export it in the format the script expects. KML and GPX files from tools such as Little Navmap can be imported as a starting point, and the "Follow Roads" option snaps a route to the road network, which needs your own free OpenRouteService key in the settings.
