MSFS Addons Linker - General Procedures

This document is by no means a full tutorial for the Linker itself: it just describes a convenient way the Linker can be used in practice - how to organise your addons into a convenient file structure.

Why use a linker

The MSFS Addons Linker lets you keep each addon in its own folder, wherever you like on your drives, and link it into the Community folder, so the Community folder itself stays tidy and you can switch addons on and off without moving files. This document is not a full tutorial for the tool. It shows one practical way to organise your addons into a sensible folder structure so that a large collection stays manageable.

Who it helps

It is useful if you have many addons, if your simulator is on a small drive and you keep files elsewhere, or if you often test and remove addons. It works with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
