HOW TO INSTALL:

• Download ZIP and extract it into your community folder

• Make sure the "cas-j3cub-realism" folder is in your community folder, then the addon should be ready to use

NOTES:

• This add-on sets the airframe vibration setting to 0% for reasons mentioned in the "FEATURES" section. However, you may need to manually turn it down due to the plane's state saving. You can leave it on, but it will cause bugs.

• Data for 65 horsepower Cub performance was sourced from Joe Costanza's Youtube channel

• Sufficient data for the J3 with floats was not found, so I aimed for an 8 mph speed reduction

FEATURES:

• Corrected propeller diameter

• Replaced original engine data (which was based on the Continental C-85) with the data for the Continental A-65-8

• Modified drag, propeller, and engine performance for accurate speeds

• Corrected CG limits

• Reduced aileron drag. Don't worry about the adverse yaw, it's still there!

• Other small flight model corrections

• Modified rudder performance for accurate slipping bank angles and descent rates

• Modified float and tundra tire drag to match reported J3 performance data

• Reduced single magneto RPM drop to slightly less than 75 RPM, as per the J3 handbook

• Modified engine temperatures to be closer to reported real J3 temperatures

• Modified fuel consumption to be closer to reported consumption rates

• Set default airframe vibration setting to 0% (will not apply unless aircraft is a new install due to state saving). Having this setting any higher will cause the trim covers to clip and float away from the aircraft, along with causing the plane to continue vibrating after shutdown.

• Corrected eight backwards mouse scroll/drag interactions on the altimeter, radio, transponder and more

• Several painted-on shadows removed, notably near the throttles, roof cage, and left window (excludes Flitfire)

• Dark, pixelated textures around holes removed in areas like the magnetos and panel screws (excludes Flitfire)

• Made tablet mounts match the airframe to conceal the sides of the mounts being see-through. This effected the tablet textures as a whole, so I also made new tablet textures.
